How It Works

 1. Submit An Appointment Request

Tell us what exam you need, your location, and whether you already have a physician order.

 2. We Review the Order

Our team reviews the exam type, preparation instructions, location, and reporting needs before confirming the appointment.

3. Complete Intake Forms

When applicable, intake forms are completed through a secure patient portal before your appointment.

4. We Come to You

Top Ultrasound brings the ultrasound equipment directly to your home, clinic, office, or preferred private setting.

All that is needed is access to a standard electrical outlet and enough space for the ultrasound machine and sonographer to comfortably perform the exam.

5. Images and Reports Are Processed Securely

After the exam, images and reports are handled through the appropriate clinical reporting workflow and sent securely to the ordering provider when applicable.

Preparing for Your Exam

Some ultrasound exams require preparation, such as fasting or arriving with a full bladder. Preparation instructions vary depending on the exam ordered.

After your appointment request is reviewed, Top Ultrasound will provide the appropriate preparation instructions before your exam.

Common examples may include:

  • Abdominal ultrasound: fasting may be required
  • Pelvic ultrasound: a full bladder may be required
  • Renal or bladder ultrasound: hydration instructions may be provided
  • Vascular exams: preparation varies by exam type

Please follow the instructions provided before your appointment to help ensure the best possible exam quality.
